The Big Day is Tomorrow!
Taylor will be making her arrival very soon now. Dr. Cook will be inducing labor on Wednesday, December 2nd at 5:30am. He expects her to arrive late that night. So, we're in for a long day but for a wonderful gift in the end. We are experiencing an emotional roller coaster during the last couple of days before Taylor's birth. We will keep everyone updated as much as possible during the day tomorrow. We love you all so much and are looking forward to introducing our daughter to you all very soon!

We Are Ready!
We are in our 40th week of pregnancy now. Taylor could arrive at any moment and we are ready! We have our next appointment with the doctor on Wednesday, November 25th. There is a possibility of scheduling an induction for next Saturday, November 28th if there is more dilation and effacement since the last doctor's visit. If not, then we will have to wait another week. Dr. Cook is estimating Taylor to weigh approximately 8lbs by next week so we really hope that she will be born soon and I am sure you understand why = ) We'll update the blog when we get more information. We love yall!

Taylor Corinne Williams

Yes, we have decided on a name. Corinne (in the picture above) is the name of the Mommy-to-Be's sweet Grandmother Becker. We are honored to name our first daughter after such a wonderful lady!
Taylor's due date is exactly 4 weeks away today. At our doctor's visit on Monday the Mommy-to-Be measured 36cm at 36 weeks pregnant, was 1 cm dilated, and 30% effaced! Contractions are already hard at work. So, everything is right on track for a delivery around the original due date of Novemcer 26th. We did not have an ultrasound as we origianlly thought we might. Taylor has dropped down some and so the measurements are more on track. It wont be long before she is here!

Big Update!
We have been going to childbirth classes for 5 weeks now. We have our last class next Tues. We have learned so much about having babies and still there is so much we don't know. The classes are great and our instructor is awesome. We have been practicing the different techniques we learned in class at home. One of them is putting ice on the skin to simulate a contraction. We leave it on for about 1 minute at a time and practice breathing, relaxing, and visualization techniques. Getting pretty good at it too!
We have been super busy getting ready for Taylor's arrival. Her clothes have been washed in dreft and put in her drawers. The changing table is ready with itty bitty newborn diapers, wipes, and of course Boudreaux's Butt Paste! We have her pack-n-play set up for her to sleep by our side in our bedroom and our new glider a few feet away. The Daddy-to-Be has been hard at work setting up her swing, bouncy seat, pack-n-play, installing the car seat and more. Wow! There is so much to do for such a little girl!
We had a doctor's visit on Monday and everything is going smoothly. Blood pressure is great, weight gain is great, Taylor's heartbeat is great (it is starting to slow down...which I learned is perfectly normal as the due date nears!), and all tests have come back with good results. Mommy-to-Be is still measuring on the high end of normal so we may be doing another ultrasound at our next visit (Oct. 26th...36 weeks) to see just how big Baby Taylor actually is. We'll let you know how that goes.
We have had 2 more baby showers. We were, again, overwhelmed by all of the kindness and generosity from everyone around us. Taylor is so loved by so many people. We cannot wait to introduce you all to her!
Thanks for checking for our blog updates! Taylor will be here in 6 short weeks and we could not be more excited! We send our love to you all!

3D Ultrasound
Since we found out were pregnant we have found ourselves saying "this is amazing". Then, the next big event occurs along the way and amazing just does not seem to be a big enough word. Today was one of those events. We had a very successful 3D ultrasound! She does not have a middle name yet, but Taylor was very cooperative this time. We got to see her beautiful face and we got so many precious pictures. We got a DVD too and we cannot stop watching it! We have attached a few of the pictures for you to see. We're still trying to figure out who she looks like.
We got the furniture set up in her room. It looks great and the bedding is adorable on her crib! We'll take pictures and post them after we have the room completely decorated. We're having so much fun preparing for Taylor's arrival! She's going to be here so soon!

Thank You!

Our baby showers last weekend were wonderful! They both exceeded our expectations and we were amazed at all the love and kindness surrounding us. We are so blessed to have such a great family and our friends are absolutely the best around. Thank you is not enough to express our gratitude, but I do not know what else to say. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
So, our baby has not been very cooperative for pictures for the 3rd time now. She is already very stubborn or very shy = ) We have our second appointment for a 3D/4D ultrasound scheduled for next Wednesday, Sept. 3rd. Second time has historically been our charm so we will see if she decides to wake up (we think she likes to sleep like her Daddy...) and reveal her pretty little face to us. We will post the pics as soon as we get them!
The furniture and bedding has arrived and we are planning to go pick it all up this weekend if Danny does not pour rain on us all day tomorrow. We cannot wait to get the baby's room set up! Mommy-to-be is doing great and feeling good. Time is going by so quickly with only 13 weeks until D-Day! We cannot wait to meet our precious baby girl (who we hope to have a name for in the very near future...we are getting really close)! Love to All!

Let the Money Spending Begin!

Here are some pictures of the furniture and bedding we just bought for our baby girl! The first 2 pictures are of the furniture and the third picture is the bedding. We are so looking forward to our upcoming baby showers on August 22nd (The Family Shower) and August 23rd (The Friends Shower). Our friends and family have been so wonderful to plan these special events for us and we thank y'all. Can't wait to see everyone together!

It's a Girl!
We had an ultrasound on Friday, July 3rd and the doctor confirmed we are having a girl! We thought it was a girl for a long time and now we know for sure. Time to start shopping! During the ultrasound she was turned facing the back. So we have another ultrasound scheduled for July 28th when we hope to get a good view of her profile and to bring home some good pictures to post. We only have one picture from the ulstrasound right now...let's just say it is the picture that let's us know she is a girl...We'll post more pictures as soon as we get them. We do not have a clue what her name will be yet. That is such a hard decision to make! We're working on it though and we have some time. Both Mommy and Daddy can feel her kicking now! Daddy felt her move for the first time on the morning of June 26th. We are so glad to be able to share these moments together. What a special time in our lives!

Amazed, again!
We are on our way back home from a wedding in New Orleans. When we passed through Montgomery we decided to stop and stretch our legs. Something amazing happened once got back on the interstate...we felt our baby moving for the first time! It was so wonderful! There are still a couple of misty eyes in the truck! It did not feel like the fluttering sensation everyone said it would feel like. It was more like a few double kicks. The baby moved 4 times within about 30 seconds and then went back to sleep we suppose. We can't wait to get home and try to make the baby move some more. We know the best is yet to come, but being pregnant is about the best thing we have ever experienced!

Pictures
These are pictures from our ultrasound from 5/18 at 13 weeks pregnant! The baby is still so small weighing about 1 ounce! We are running out of words to describe the feelings we have felt on this journey so far and it is only the beginning! Seeing our baby for the first time was indescribable! We look forward to seeing the baby again very soon and feeling the baby move in about 3 weeks or so! Being pregnant is awesome!

Wow!
We went to the doctor for a check up today. The best part was hearing our baby's heart beating at 165 beats per minute. We did not realize how wonderful the sound of a beating heart could be. It was such a sweet and special moment! Dr. Cook let us hold the machine and we could feel the vibrations from the heart each time it beat. Amazing! We will make an appointment with the perinatologist tomorrow for an ultra screen. This will test for genetic disabilities as well as possibly tell us if we're having a boy or a girl. We did the official "ring test" several times and it said It's a Boy! We also checked with the Chinese calendar, which said It's a Boy! We'll find out soon how accurate those gender tests are...

So Far So Good
The mom-to-be has been feeling very nauseated throughout the day nearly everyday for over a week now. Saltines are the snack of choice for the nausea! Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches really hit the spot too ;-) It has been very difficult finding anything that sounds good to eat. That has surely been frustrating for the daddy-to-be since there is not much cooking taking place! However, he has not complained even one time about a single thing! We have a visit to the doctor coming up next Wednesday. This is when we'll hear the hearbeat!!!!!! We'll let y'all know how it goes. Again, we are so thrilled about our baby! Keep checking back for more updates coming soon. We love y'all!

Sharing Our Joy
We were so excited to have the opportunity to visit some of our loved ones to share our happy news! Congratulations to all of the soon-to-be grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, great aunts, great uncles, great grandparents, and great great grandparents! We are so blessed to have such a wonderful family and such great friends to share our joy with us!
The First Visit to the Doctor
On April 6th we had our first prenatal visit to the doctor. We saw the flickering heartbeat of our baby! It was a very special moment =) We will post the ultrasound picture as soon as we get our scanner up and running. We're scheduled to go back to the doctor on May 6th. We will be 11 weeks at that appointment. We should be able to hear the heartbeat instead of just seeing it at that visit. How exciting!
We're Pregnant!
On March 23, 2009 we found out we are having a baby. We were about 5 weeks along at that time. We scheduled our first doctors appointment for April 6, 2009.
